As part of our mission to support learning in schools, the library offers a Teacher Resource Center and teacher training in math, reading & English language. We adapt and expand our services based on what the schools and teachers need.
This bookmobile brings PIER staff to the schools to model interactive instruction for classroom teachers.
In addition, we provide direct teacher training in math, reading and English language for schools as requested.
The Cultural Literacy books will allow us to entertain children and excite teachers to reading in a more creative manner.
As part of an ongoing project, we are developing fiction and non-fiction books that reflect the island's history, geography and culture.
We offer schools higher level reading books for the classroom. These materials include readers for the students, teachers guides and activities.
